The institute
The name says everything we believe
Not a studio, and not merely an academy. A home, where art is lived in daily, looked after, and handed carefully to the next generation. Founded in 2018 by dancer and choreographer Mrudula Ravi, kalāgr̥hm trains students from their very first adavu and sarali varisai to the Vidwat examinations of the Karnataka state board, and beyond them, to the stage.
Classes are small and unhurried. Technique is built to last, posture by posture, note by note. We would rather shape an artist slowly than finish a syllabus quickly.

Bharatanatyam Bharatanatyam
From the first tap of the foot to a full margam: technique, abhinaya, and the discipline that carries both. A structured path through the Karnataka board's Junior, Senior and Vidwat grades.

Voice culture, shruti and laya, built patiently from sarali varisai to varnams and kritis, with equal care for grammar and feeling, under vocalist Nikita Bharadwaj.

Mrudula Ravi
The institute carries its founder's signature in everything it does.
Trained for over two decades under Vid. Smt. Shubha Balasubramanya and Natyacharyas Kiran Subramanyam & Sandhya Kiran, Mrudula is a Vidwat-certified Bharatanatyam dancer, a choreographer of prize-winning ensembles, and the creator of Samidha, a solo production built on the philosophy of Advaita.
Engineer by degree. Entrepreneur by profession. Dancer by conviction.
